Assessment of whether waste exhibits hazardous property HP14 'Ecotoxic' as defined by Council Regulation (EU) 2017/997. Waste is ecotoxic if it presents immediate or delayed risks to environmental compartments. Assessment uses the summation method based on concentrations of substances with ecotoxic hazard statements (primarily aquatic toxicity), with metals like zinc, copper, lead, chromium, cadmium, and mercury frequently triggering HP14 classification. Speciation of certain metals is essential.
