Waste arising from premises used wholly or mainly for trade, business, sport, recreation, or entertainment. Unlike household waste, there is no statutory obligation on local authorities to collect commercial waste. Businesses must arrange and pay for their own waste collection and are subject to Duty of Care requirements for their waste management.
